JAECOO introduces the J7 Super Hybrid System (SHS), flagship electrified vehicle that combines technology, sustainability, and security. This model received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP in April 2025, making it one of the safest PHEVs on the global market.
Security was a major focus in the development of the J7 SHS. Certification from Euro NCAP is proof that this vehicle has gone through a series of strict tests, including crash tests and active protection systems, which is very relevant for Indonesian consumers.
According to Max Zhou, Country Director JAECOO Indonesia, safety is the main principle held by JAECOO. SHS technology is designed to provide high performance while providing a sense of security for the driver, especially in developing markets like Indonesia.
JAECOO J7 SHS is built on three principles: Super Hybrid System, Super Technology, and Super Safety. This vehicle is equipped with eight airbags, strong steel frame structure, IP68 water and dust resistant battery system, as well as an automatic power cut-off feature for maximum protection in the event of a collision.
Besides being safe, The J7 SHS also excels in efficiency and mileage. Supported by a 1.5TGDI engine and DHT hybrid transmission, This vehicle set a global record with a mileage of more than 1.600 km in one energy cycle without recharging, including in Indonesia and Mexico.
The vehicle's performance is also proven in tropical climates such as Thailand and Brazil, with fuel consumption of only 3.1L/100km. A smart power management system and advanced drivetrain support a quiet driving experience, responsive, and save energy, making it ideal for urban riders.
The popularity of the J7 SHS also boosted JAECOO's global sales. In April 2025, more than 28.000 vehicle units sold globally, with 53% of which are new energy vehicles. Sales of the J7 SHS itself have soared 70% from the previous month.
JAECOO officially entered the Indonesian market at the beginning 2025 as part of the Chery Group.
