Wuling Motors officially launched the New BinguoEV to coincide with their 8th anniversary celebration in Indonesia. Carrying the theme "Be The Icon", This hatchback electric car is here as a refresher from the previous model, BinguoEV. The refresh includes additional features, new variant, fresh exterior color choices, as well as a more characteristic interior feel to support a modern lifestyle.
According to Kharismawan Awangga, Sales Operation Director Wuling Motors, BinguoEV has been one of the favorite models since its launch in December 2023. This latest version was launched in response to consumer needs and input, with various improvements that are expected to provide a more personal and iconic driving experience.
In terms of external appearance, The New BinguoEV still maintains its elegant and iconic design, but now equipped with an electric foldable mirror. Wuling also added several new colors that are bright and expressive, like Lemon Yellow, Avocado Green, Milk Tea, and Galaxy Blue. There are also two exclusive colors: Starry Black for the Lite type and Tungsten Steel Gray for the Pro type.
The interior also gets a refresh through a choice of cabin colors that are warmer and more comfortable. The Pro variant comes with Caramel Latte nuances, while the Lite variant uses the Mocha Latte color. This touch of color gives a premium impression while increasing comfort for users when driving.
For technology and features, The New BinguoEV has two sized TFT screens 10,25 inci, cruise control, as well as multifunction steering buttons. The embedded safety features are very complete, includes ABS, EBD, airbag, ESC, rear camera, ISOFIX, TPMS, as well as an electric parking brake with Auto Vehicle Hold. Driving modes can also be adjusted to suit user preferences, starting from Eco, Eco+, Normal, to Sport. it, Smartphone interconnection is also available as an additional feature.
The New BinguoEV still maintains a spacious and functional cabin, with 15 Versatile storage space and luggage capacity reaches 790 liter. The driver's seat can be adjusted six ways electrically, plus a floating island style dashboard design which adds a modern impression to the cabin.
The performance of this vehicle is powered by a powerful electric motor 50 kW with torque 150 Nm, LFP battery powered 31,9 kWh. In full battery condition, This car can cover distances up to 333 km. The charging process is also efficient because it is equipped with fast charging which allows charging from 30% the 80% only in 35 minute.
New BinguoEV comes in two variants, namely Lite and Pro. The price for the Lite type starts from IDR 279 million, while the Pro variant sells for IDR 317 million. With a combination of designs, feature, and efficiency, Wuling targets the New BinguoEV as the main choice in the Indonesian compact electric car segment.
