The Lucid Air Grand Touring officially has mileage 960 km according to WLTP standards, thanks to the large battery capacity 112 kWh. However, The results of this trip show that the driving style is efficient, The car can drive much more than official claims.
Apart from efficiency, Lucid Air Grand Touring also relies on high performance. This car uses two electric motors that produce combined power 610 kW and torque 1.200 Nm, with acceleration 0-100 km/h in 3,2 second.
Eric Bach, Lucid Senior Vice President of Products, stated that this achievement was proof that Lucid's advanced technology was not just a theory, but really works in real use. According to him, efficiency, high voltage architecture, and Lucid's battery management system is today's leading edge.
Umit Sabanci is not a new figure in the world of driving records. On 2024, he also broke the world record after exploring nine countries in one trip 912 km, using battery-based electric cars, from the Netherlands to Italy.
Sabanci revealed that the previous record was only the beginning of a great journey towards proving electric mobility as the future. According to him, This latest achievement shows that electric vehicle technology is able to overcome the challenges of distance travel and limited charging infrastructure.
Although Lucid has set various global records, This brand is still not officially present in the Indonesian market. However, their achievements address two major concerns of potential EV users, namely the issue of limited range and uneven charging infrastructure.
