Otodiva— The development of North Bali International Airport is entering an important stage. PT Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB) and PT BIBU Panji Sakti officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the procurement of electric vehicles to strengthen the transportation system in the airport area. The signing took place in Jakarta and is a strategic step towards more modern airport operations, efficient, and environmentally friendly.

The agreement was signed by the President Director of PT BIBU Panji Sakti, Erwanto Sad Adiatmoko Hariwibowo, together with the Main Director of PT Mobil Anak Bangsa, Kelik Irwantono. This event was also attended by Ambassador Eddi Hariyadhi as Commissioner of PT BIBU Panji Sakti, and His Excellency Anak Agung Ngurah Ugrasena, President Director of PT BIBU Aero Abipraya. The presence of these figures shows their strong support for transportation transformation in the North Bali region.
In line with the concept of Three Friendly — Technology Friendly, Environmentally friendly, and Culture Friendly — the airport was designed with a Green Airport approach. Thus, Collaboration with MAB is an important step to ensure that airport operations prioritize energy sustainability and transportation efficiency.
MAB Becomes Strategic Partner for Electric Vehicle Providers
Through this MoU, MAB will act as a strategic partner in provision Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) to support internal mobility in the airport area. These vehicles will later become part ofPeople Mover System(PMS), namely the transportation system that connects the airport terminal with the areaAerocity AndAerotropolissurrounding.

The scope of cooperation includes the provision of electric vehicle units according to regional needs specifications, based on the airport master plan, traffic projections, and integration of transportation circulation. Besides that, This collaboration includes recommendations regarding licensing, operational, maintenance, to risk mitigation management.
MAB Main Director, Kelik Irwantono, emphasized that this collaboration marks the company's commitment to supporting the acceleration of the energy transition in the transportation sector.

This collaboration is not just business cooperation, but also a form of support for the national energy transition agenda. Both MAB and BIBU Panji Sakti have shown a strong commitment to providing low-emission transportation infrastructure in one of the country's strategic projects. It is hoped that the presence of electric modes of transportation in the airport area will bebenchmark new for the development of environmentally friendly airports in Indonesia.

MAB, which stood since 2017, is a national electric vehicle manufacturer which is now focusing on the commercial vehicle segment. The portfolio includes big buses and medium electric buses, electric trucks of various types, to electric motorbikes through the Electro brand. MAB products have been used by various large companies such as PT Paiton Energy, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Vale Indonesia, as well as a number of local governments.
MAB's journey began 2016 through research and development of full-size electric buses 12 meter. On 2019, This product officially passed the type test certification from the Ministry of Transportation and began to be used commercially. On 2024, MAB expands its business line to electric trucks, including street sweeping trucks, compactor garbage truck, untilmobile office truck.
The following year, MAB plans to enter the light electric truck and wide body truck segments to strengthen its position as a major player in electric vehicles in Indonesia.
