PT Honda Prospect Motor launched the 11th generation of the legendary Honda Civic sedan in Indonesia through a virtual event held on 28 October 2021. For the first time in Indonesia, Now the All New Honda Civic carries the RS emblem as part of the Honda line which has a sportier appearance, and a series of advanced features that are present for the first time in this model, including the most complete Honda SENSING advanced safety technology in Indonesia.
Marketed since year 1976, Honda Civic already has very loyal users in Indonesia and until September 2021, recorded as much 118.814 Honda Civic Sedan units have been sold in Indonesia. Throughout the year 2021, The Honda Civic has garnered as many sales as 265 unit, with market share 40% in the small sedan segment.
Reporting from Honda Indonesia, The All New Honda Civic now comes with a single RS variant which is a special development for the Honda variant which has a sportier character in terms of design and performance.. Previously, The RS variant also carries popular models such as the Honda Brio, Honda Mobilio, Honda City Hatchback, Honda Civic Hatchback.
From the exterior, the All New Honda Civic RS displays a total design change that is sportier than the previous generation. The new front grille design combines with the Full LED Headlight which is also equipped with LED Daytime Running Light and LED Turning Signal.
The black Auto Foldable Door Mirror is combined with RS exclusive aerokits such as the Sporty Aero Trunk Spoiler, 17” Sporty Matte Black Alloy Wheels, Shark Fin Antenna, and car door handles with black accents further emphasize the sporty impression of this car. Meanwhile, the rear features a Dual Exhaust Pipe Finisher and Rear Combi Lamp with LED Light Bars.
The appearance of the interior also looks more attractive with various technologies that can be easily accessed and controlled in the front cabin. Interactive TFT Meter Cluster with Customized Display Setting now comes with a larger full digital display, by 10.2”.
In this feature, most of the activity on the car will be displayed on the meter cluster, like Honda SENSING, navigation system, rear seat reminder, to indication light activity on the vehicle such as when the headlights are on, flashes hazard, and the brake is on. Riders can also choose two displays for the tachometer and speedometer with a round display or bar graph display as desired.
Still at the front of the cabin, The metal honeycomb accent that stretches across the dashboard enhances the luxurious impression that functions as a visual dividing line between the 9” Advanced Capacitive Touchscreen Display Audio and the A/C control panel which turns into Dual Zone Auto A/C which functions as a separate temperature setting for the driver and front passenger..
