Otodiva.id – Usai menerima unit dari PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID), Shin Tae-yong, Head Coach of the Indonesian National Football Team, gave a warm appreciation for his first experience using an electric car. He expressed his gratitude for the gift of Genesis Electrified G80, flagship electric car model from Hyundai, and expressed confidence in the quality of the brand's cars.
Not only that, Shin Tae-yong also hopes for closer cooperation between Hyundai and the Indonesian football industry, including the possibility of collaboration with the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).

Furthermore, Frans said that Hyundai also plans to expand cooperation with the company, BUMN, and the Indonesian Government, especially regarding the use of electric cars in official vehicles for Echelon I and II levels, as well as in the Indonesian capital region (IKN) which mandates the use of electric cars as the main transportation option.
Frans also added that Hyundai welcomed the Indonesian Government's policy regarding the use of electric cars in IKN, considering that Hyundai has produced the IONIQ 5, The first electric car produced in Indonesia, since March 2022 at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia factory (HMM).
To be known, Hyundai has strengthened electric car production in Indonesia with the presence of PT HLI Green Power (HLI) as a battery cell manufacturer and Hyundai Energy Indonesia (HERE) as a system battery provider. “Ke depan, Battery cells and systems will be manufactured locally. We are pioneers of electrification in Indonesia, will always support Government policies in encouraging the era of electrification in Indonesia,” pungkas Frans.
