Autodiva – AION Indonesia and PT PLN (Persero) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and provide Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) in Jakarta. This collaboration not only involves AION Indonesia but also 27 other business entity partners. This indicates the seriousness of all parties in supporting the transformation of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.
Presidential decree (Presidential Decree) Number 79 Year 2023 has established important steps to accelerate the adoption of battery-based electric vehicles in Indonesia, especially in the massive road transportation sector. The government is targeting additions 3.000 SPKLU units and 250 Public Electric Vehicle Battery Swap Station unit (SPBKLU) for two-wheeled and four-wheeled electric vehicles in 2024. This step is expected to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles throughout Indonesia.
President Director of PT PLN (Persero), Darmawan Prasodjo, explain, “As a locomotive driving the energy transition in the country, It requires collaboration and involvement from all parties concerned. PT PLN (Persero) will continue to strive to provide SPKLU and SPBKLU throughout Indonesia to increase the comfort of electric vehicle users and as a form of our commitment to supporting the Indonesian government's agenda to accelerate the national electric vehicle ecosystem.”
In line with this strategic step, AION Indonesia is committed to making the national energy transformation a success by providing environmentally friendly driving solutions, high tech, intelligent, and up to date.
