Autodiva – PT Blue Bird Tbk (Bluebird) recorded double-digit revenue growth in the first semester 2024. The company reported revenue of IDR 2.3 trillion, increased 11% compared to the previous year (Year on Year/YoY). This achievement was mainly driven by revenue in the second quarter 2024 which reached IDR 1.2 trillion, naik 15% compared to the second quarter 2023.
In the taxi service sector, Bluebird experienced an increase in revenue of 8% YoY, while the rental and shuttle service segment increased 20% YoY. This shows the positive results of the company's efforts to improve fleet utility and operational efficiency.
Bluebird's net profit also showed significant growth. In the second quarter 2024, net profit increased by 27% secara Quarter on Quarter (QoQ), reached IDR 149 billion. Total net profit during the first semester 2024 recorded at IDR 267 billion.
Innovation and Efficiency Through MyBluebird
This success cannot be separated from the role of the MyBluebird application, which became the main medium for reservations and experienced a significant increase in monthly active users (Monthly Active User/MAU). Since the pandemic, MyBluebird's MAUs quadrupled. This application continues to innovate by introducing the Fixed Price feature, which provides price certainty, as well as MyBluebird Subscription, which offers a variety of travel packages at affordable prices according to consumer needs.
Besides that, Bluebird takes advantage of new reservation channels, Bluebird Whatsapp Reservations, to make it easier to order services for users outside Jabodetabek.
Shuttle Business Expansion and Environmentally Friendly Initiatives
Bluebird is also expanding its business in the shuttle service segment by launching Cititrans Busline, which serves inter-city and inter-provincial travel (CAP) with new standards of comfort.
Bluebird's commitment to sustainable mobility is reflected in a reduction in carbon emissions of 175.000 tons until June 2024. This initiative is supported by the adoption of electric vehicles, CNG, and solar panels. Besides that, Bluebird expands the use of solar panels and opens public electric vehicle charging facilities in Bali.
To support inclusive mobility, Bluebird is developing the Bluebird Lifecare Taxi fleet and expanding its reach to Bali. In this second quarter, Bluebird also obtained ISO certification 27001:2022, which focuses on IT-based system security, to increase customer trust.
