Otodiva.id – Wuling Motors won the Green Car of the Year award at the Sustainability Energy Award event, which is part of the REPNAS National Conference & Awarding Night: Independent Energy – Independent Economy on 14 October. This award was presented by the General Chair of the National Young Entrepreneur Volunteers, Anggawira, to Liu Yan, Marketing Operation Director Wuling Motors. This recognition is a motivation for Wuling to continue to innovate in providing products and services that support green mobility in Indonesia.
This award was given thanks to Wuling's contribution in presenting a series of EV products known as ABC Stories, which was introduced in Indonesia in 2022 with the launch of Air ev. This compact electric vehicle is designed for urban communities with a modern and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Since its launch, Air ev has received 15 appreciation for its modern features and up-to-range capabilities 300 kilometer.
At the end 2023, Wuling introduces BinguoEV, an electric hatchback with range 410 kilometers in one charge. This vehicle has become the best-selling EV in Indonesia in the January-September period 2024 with sales 4.054 unit and has won two awards. With taglines “Drive Electric, Be The Icon,” BinguoEV offers a pleasant driving experience and complete features.
Adding to the ABC Stories portfolio, Wuling launched Cloud EV in May 2024. This medium hatchback prioritizes comfort for the driver and passengers, with spacious cabin space and advanced technology such as Wuling Remote Control, voice commands in Indonesian, and ADAS systems. Cloud EV has a range of up to 460 kilometer.
All Wuling EV products from ABC Stories are produced in domestic factories with domestic content levels (TKDN) on 40%. These products receive government incentives and have been involved in six international events in Indonesia. Since 2022 until September 2024, Wuling EV sales have reached more than 24.000 unit.
As the leading EV brand in Indonesia, Wuling offers an after-sales program “Worry-Free with Wuling EV” which includes a lifetime guarantee for the three main components of the electric vehicle as well as an Extended Free Maintenance program, Free Charging Pile installation, and special electricity vouchers for Air ev purchases.
REPNAS National Conference event & The Awarding Night aims to encourage synergy between energy and economic sector stakeholders in realizing sustainable energy independence. Various activities, such as the Opening of the REPNAS National Coordination Meeting 2024 dan Sustainability Energy Awards, marking a commitment to economic growth of 8%.
